How long have you been modelling?
I started like 3 years ago, in Spain. A lot of things have happened since then!

How were you scouted?
I was working in my uncle’s hairdressing salon, where I met Fernando my headbooker from UNO. We were talking and he proposed me doing a test shoot. Fortunately things were good, and now I’m here in London.

We heard you were at university, what are you studying?

Yes, I study Communication. It’s not my passion but I think it could be useful in a future. When I was a child I dreamt about working for National Geographic or something similar so this could help me to work for them.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hard question haha, I dont know yet. You don’t know what will happen tomorrow. However I just want to travel as much as possible, so if I had to say something I would like to be far away, discovering new places and cultures.

What’s your favourite part of London?

Shoreditch. I live there and the neighbourhood is awesome , cool spots, bohemian areas with soul. Canary Wharf is cool, I discovered that place during a shoot. Also Tate Museum, of course.

What would be your dream brand to model for?

Yamamoto for sure. Nobody has known how to express and develop something so simple and at the same time so deep like black colour. He mixes street and elegance and his collaborations with Adidas are just incredible. He is the master. If I worked for him, it would be fantastic and unforgettable. I also like Marcelo Burlon , KTZ and OBEY.

When you are not modelling or studying, what do you do in your spare time?
Chilling with friends, drinkings beers, listening to music. I like to play sports such Basketball and Football, and a good book or film is always a great choice. And of course, clubbing.

Favourite piece from the A/W16 collection?
No Noise Denim Jacket is my favourite . Also any bomber is obligatory in my wardrobe. I like the design of the rings.

It’s been great to work with you again!
What have you been doing since we last saw you?!

Its always a pleasure working with Serge and it was great catching up with my boy Proudlock! Since we last met I’ve been working hard campaign after campaign and finally the work has paid off as I have recently signed with my dream agency.. STORM!

Dream brand to collaborate with?

That is a hard decision but I would have to say Louis Vuitton. I have loved and worn this brand since I could first afford the LV belts and I just feel expensive when I wear their stuff.

Who’s your model idol?

My model idol is my very good friend Francesco Cuizza. I joined my first agency and at that agency all I would ever hear or see was him. I wanted to be as successful and talked about as him. Finally we met and clicked straight away, our personalities are very big and alike which is why I think we get on so well. He then made a massive move from the small agency we were with and joined Storm. People had their doubts about the move but he persevered and now does 100% better and bigger jobs then ever before. My decision to try and make the move to Storm was largely based on him and his journey to success. He is like my big bro and I have watched him go from great to outstanding. He is my model idol.

What do you do when you’re not modelling?

When I’m not modelling I like to work out, play football, also spend time with my son and walk my dog, mayyyybe I also like to drive my car all day aimlessly too.. sometimes haha!

Do you have an exciting projects coming up?

Well I have just joined with Storm and that move was exciting in itself, no words need be spoken on Storm and their work rate and if they can take me on then I’m more than confident. However I have many many exciting things coming up.. there may be a few things in the pipeline already 👀 who knows..? Haha

LFW is here, which designer are you most excited to see?

I enjoy meeting all the designer. I’m still learning and meeting as many as I can with each show I walk or attend.

Favourite piece of the Serge DeNimes AW16 collection?

My favourite Serge piece has got to be the Knit Striped Tracksuit. Definitely the most unique and distinctive tracksuit in my wardrobe.

How did you get into modelling?

I was scouted on the street of shoreditch

Was it always your passion?

To be honest, it was not my passion but I always thought that it would be a fun job to try

What is your dream brand to collaborate with?

Balenciaga, Martin Margiela and Raf Simons

What projects do you have in the pipeline / anything you want to talk about?

I have magazine shoots and some look books coming up. I really liked the clothes that I got to wear so I can’t wait for them come out!

What’s your favourite spot in London?

Shoreditch (East London) is my favorite place. I’ve been living here for three years because it’s always vibrant and has a lot of cool spots

We heard you were stylist? What do prefer, styling or modelling?!

There isn’t one thing that I prefer more than another; they both have special parts that I love. I love to build up the aesthetics of the shoots with garments or even accessories when I am styling, which means I am able to show my creative side. On the other hand, modelling let me concentrate on my expression, such as with gesture and face expression.

Tell us something you’ve never told in an interview!

I am interested in lots of creative jobs such as interior design, film making, etc. I would love to get a chance one day to show my passions with my new coming works.

– How did you get into Modelling?

I was lucky enough to get picked up as a kid and started modelling from around 11 years old for commercial brands like Littlewoods, Tesco, Asda and some other kids fashion brands. Life then started to get somewhat serious with school and I stopped modelling from 15 – 19 years old. At 19 I got picked up by a boutique London agency and started to work part time as a model. 10 months ago I got scouted to join Nevs and since then I’ve been working full time as a model and I love every moment.

 – If you weren’t Modelling, what do you think you will be doing now?

I’d like to think I’d be studying to be a Life Coach / Mentor to younger kids and early teens that are having difficulty finding their way in life. No matter what I do my main intention is to inspire all around me to become the best versions of themselves.

 – Do you have any special skills?

I do a great chimpanzee impression that only a select few people have had the pleasure of hearing/seeing haha!

 – What do you get up to when you are not modelling?

I like to read motivational books like ‘The Saint The Surfer’ and ‘The CEO’. I also lead a really healthy active lifestyle so I train pretty much everyday and find myself getting lost in nature. My friends call me ‘Nature Boy!’

 – 2017 is a new year, what exciting projects have you got in the pipeline? / What is your plan for 2017?

I’m currently in Cape Town working for 2 months which is super exciting in itself, its my first solo adventure as a model. I’ve been here a week and have been booked for 2 jobs so things are looking hopeful here. The modelling industry is so hectic you never really know what you’re doing or where your going to be in advance, so all I can really say is watch this space as 2017 is looking very exciting already with some really amazing projects coming my way!

 – Tell us something you’ve never told anyone in an interview! –

Life seems pretty simple. Whatever you put in you get back, do something you enjoy and the rest will follow.

 Thanks for interviewing me!

How did you get into modelling? It all happened very quickly, I posted a picture on Instagram wearing a septum ring from LAMODA and they reposted the picture and it blew up like crazy, within 2 weeks after that moment my now mother agent (MUTHA) found me also on Instagram and then introduced me to my now agency Supa Models.

Was it always a career ambition? No I never thought of it as an ambition of mine. I saw it as an opportunity that came to me that would allow me to help me support myself and my family a lot more but not a long term career, but maybe who knows now.

What do you think you’d be doing if not modelling? Most likely I would still be doing visual merchandising as I was before.

Dream brand to collaborate with? On a level of making clothes together as a collaboration definitely Adidas, but just working together for modelling I have luckily already done that on more than one occasion.

Who’s your model idol? I don’t think I have a male model idol and I personally try not to idolise people and stay on my own individual path, but for sure my female model idol is Slick Woods, I think the industry needs more people like her.

What do you do when you’re not modelling? Usually I relax because this job does the opposite with non stop traveling, other than that I hang with friends, skateboard, read wisdom books you know just normal stuff.

Favourite piece of the AW16 collection? Loved the black fur fleece that I also wore on the shoot.

How did you get into modelling? Was it your first career plan? Modelling was never something I set out to do or believed I could ever do, my friend a few years back started making tshirts and I was with him the one day he asked me to pop one on so he could take a picture then just started using me more regularly then after starting to put the pictures on facebook I got scouted online and it kinda went from there.

What would you want to do if you weren’t modelling? I’ve always been into fashion and being creative so I think something to do with design would have been great even though the young boy in me still wants to be a fireman.

What is your dream brand to collaborate with? I think it’s either between All Saints and Vivienne Westwood

– How did you get into modelling? Was it your ambition from when you were little?

I was first scouted whilst I was at university but was too busy back then, so I went back after I’d graduated. When I was little I wanted to be a footballer by day and Spider-Man by night, but I was quixotic and immature. Now I just want to be a Hollywood superstar…

– What is your dream brand to collaborate with?

Calvin Klein, cool campaigns!

– What do you like to do in your spare time / You like to keep in shape, is it just the gym you do to keep in shape?

I like to watch movies, read books, attend anything to do with live music, chill with friends, nothing special. I try to eat healthy, go to the gym and do a lot of running, I’m going for that Forrest Gump body.

– What projects have you got lined up for next year?

Next year I’m looking to do more travelling so we are working towards that at the moment. There’s so many great cities in this world that I want to live in.

– Tell us something you’ve never told anyone in an interview before!

Stephen is actually my middle name.

– What is your favourite piece of the Autumn Winter 2016 collection?

Either the tan strike 4 symbols t-shirt for the Basquiat crown or the blue distressed denim jacket.

You’ve gone from the army to marketing, now modelling, how did this happen?

Aha yeah it hasn’t been quite as linear as that and there has been other roles and education in between. My life has been like a rather boring version of Forest Gump so far :) Well the Army was always where I saw myself from a young age (too many Action Men as a kid) and I really enjoyed my time in training and everything that I learnt from that. Unfortunately, I picked up a knee injury that made completing phase 2 of training unattainable and I had to leave as a result. After going back into education I was lucky enough to be given opportunity to work for a small marketing agency, working alongside marketers gave me a lot of valuable experience and I used this to progress within the company and eventually took a more senior role with a new agency and moved to London.

After a year and a half of working in London I found myself approached by some modelling agencies and decided to give it a go. Select Models offered to represent me and a year later here I am :)

Do you have a designer/ brand that you aspire to working with?

There’s to many designers and brands that I’d love to work with and there’s been some that I have worked with already that I was chuffed to have a chance to. I’d have to go with All Saints or Calvin Klein as they are both brands that I wear a lot.

Modelling is a full on gig- how do you like to relax?

Luckily living in London there’s a lot on offer, I like staying active with things like Gym, Basketball, Running and Muay Thai. I’m a big music fan so whenever I can I like to go to concerts and music events, I love festival season. In the quieter months I have a secret hammock on our roof terrace for general listening to tunes, cloud watching and reading.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

Well by this time Jennifer Aniston and I should be official and I’ll relocate to the Maldives to run my several successful businesses from the comfort of our Villa.

Do you have any exciting projects coming up?

I do yes! But waiting to hear confirmation on a few things so watch this space ;)

What is your favourite piece in our AW16 collection?

I’m definitely feeling your no noise navy long parka, that’s my kind of style for sure and it’s just started getting cold enough for it. Need’s to come out soon!

I am passionate about making others happy, and I am always meeting new people who inspire my daily life. I have a positive outlook on life, and it’s thanks to modelling that I have been able to experience so many exciting things at such a young age.

How did you get into the modelling industry?

Becoming a model was really pure chance, a friend of mine introduced me to an agency and I thought why not as nothing to lose and they really loved me! Thanks to PRM, I am where I am now.

Is modelling a full time gig for you?

Modelling takes up most of my time and energy, but I still have some other part time work!

What is your dream brand/company to model for?

I am sure many models would say Calvin Klein, Dolce and Gabbana, Versace etc. and I would be lying if I don’t say the same.

Do you have any exciting projects coming up?

Currently I have a lot of commercial work in London, but I am looking forward to some future project in New York or LA, that is always been one of my goals!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

From a successful modelling career in 5 years time I would see myself developing my own clothing brand and growing my experience within acting, which is another of my passions.

So how did the transition from football to modelling happen?

Football in Bulgaria is a tough challenge, but I wanted something even tougher. That is why I moved to London initially to develop my football career but I ended up becoming a model. The skills I learnt playing football have helped me in my transition of becoming a focused, determined, energetic and enthusiastic model!

You’re a keen dancer- has this been the case from a young age?
Yes, I grew up in a family that listens to all different types of music which encouraged me to dance from a young age, but I started taking dance serious around the age of 12 onwards. Me and my friends would dance on the streets with a boombox where I grew up in Fishponds, (Bristol) simply training, exchanging and having fun together. From then to now I have put my all into my journey from training and battling to performing and teaching worldwide. Its truly amazing to see the progression within my journey and I am very grateful and humbled.

Dancing and modelling are pretty full on, how do you like to relax?

When I’m relaxing I tend to be searching for music online that inspire me to move within dance for the next time I train/perform. Also like to relax by playing consoles, drawing and sleeping.

Do you have any exciting projects coming up?
Yes I have a few exciting projects coming up but the most exciting one for myself is my first ever dance video which I’m collaborating with a friend called Kelvin to create something abnormally different through movement and visuals. The video will be based around “ArtWithin” which is the name I give my movement/vision into life and dance. Make sure to keep an eye out for it!!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Haha thats a hard question! Hmmm… Personally I take everyday as it comes but I 100% want to push even further in dancing and modelling.
I would like to have my own arts company called “ArtWithin” which perform crafts in a different unusual light worldwide that others may not be exposed to. As my movement/vision has a difference in the dance scene I want this to be fully exposed to inspire others.

Whats your favourite item from the Serge AW16 collection?
My favourite Serge Denimes item from the AW16 has to be the No Noise Shawlack set!

What inspires you?
I would say my biggest inspiration is my mother just because of the comfortable life and opportunities she been able to give me despite being  single mum. Bearing this in mind this makes my mother very strong headed, so taking after her I would never let her know this, not yet at least.

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently?
At the time not so funny or the few days after but going to A & E after results night 2 weeks ago whilst incredibly delirious with my friend who was plasterboarded, at the time it ruined the night but looking back it made it.

What are you doing at them moment alongside modelling?
I have just finished college so have been soaking up the summer as much as possible and indulging in holidays as that seemed like the most logical thing. I also work in a coffee shop at weekends sometimes.

How did you get into modelling?
I was scouted in Brighton on my way to a date with a model funnily enough, what are the chances! Turned out they even knew each other when I asked if they knew each other by the off chance.

Have you got any exciting projects coming up?
No that I know of but hopefully!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I hope to have attempted to have set up my own business at least once, and then against all odds it become a success, but ultimately find something that makes me happy!

What kick started your Tattoo addiction?
Like they say, once you get one your more than likely going to carry on getting tattooed. That’s kinda what happened and now look at me.

Tell us an interesting story about one of your tattoos.
I have so many interesting stories to my tattoos. Anything from turning up to day sittings straight from the club to covering an ex girlfriends name with a full ass piece. Take your pick, haha.

How did you get into modelling?
I kind of fell into the modelling game, it started with a banter conversation with one of my favourite photographers on twitter then a couple of weeks later I was stood practically naked in his studio. From then onwards it just blew up for me.

How do you juggle your job with modelling?
It’s hard work, I mean sometimes I feel like I’m running two full time jobs at once, with numerous amounts of travelling & spending half of my life in hotels but surely that’s part of the fun, right?!

Whats the weirdest hair cut you’ve ever given?
I do quite a few crazy designs for people but once i got asked to shave a cannabis leaf in to the back of some chicks hair, I was like ok cool let’s do it.

Have you got any exciting projects coming up?
Yeah, I got some pretty dope music videos coming up and I’m on set for some killer projects but I’m gunna have to keep that shit exclusive.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
5 years. I can’t predict where i’l be next year, I live my life so spontaneously, the only thing I plan is to be successful in both the barbering and modelling. Let’s just see what happens with the rest. As a wise friend told me, “Make paper, bounce”, that’s kinda what I’m following.

Favourite piece from the Serge DeNimes SS16 collection?

No it’s not currently I’m a personal trainer in Bermondsey. Shout out Bermondsey! I want to eventually be be a full time model. Modelling is becoming a passion for sure.

What’s the best thing about modelling?
The best thing about modelling is the behind the scenes work and outcome of pictures. I like meeting the people that create the brands that people love and buy.

Have you got any exciting projects coming up?
I don’t have any new projects coming. But I feel like the universe is going to bring me something crazy.

That’s the thing about London that I hate. There’s too many places to love. Right now I really love my south like Clapham and Brixton. But I also love Shoreditch.

How did you get into modelling?
You’d have to go all the way back to when I was a youngster and did some work for the Arsenal FC catalogue! I’ve been a huge fan from birth so I’d have to consider that some of my proudest work to date!

Is full time modelling your main job?
No modeling isn’t a full time profession for me at the moment.  I’ve done bits and pieces over the years and I do really enjoy the process so would love to do more – if anyone out there wants to take me on full time feel free to hit me up! I actually work in the marketing industry and also put on events as a part of ‘The Pipe Dreamers’ – a creative collective made up of my brother and I.  We have a bi-monthly night at the moment called ILLICIT that takes place in Miranda at Ace Hotel, Shoreditch – look us up!

What’s the best thing about modelling?
Getting the opportunity to work with cool people for sure is the best part of modelling. I have an interest in all areas of shooting too, right the way through from site recces to the camera work itself – I’m a budding photographer on the side so it helps to have some knowledge from the other side of the lens – check out my stuff on instagram @snappedbysosa

Have you got any exciting projects coming up?
I’d love to say yes but as I said it’s not a full time deal for me (right now). A few bits and pieces here and there but nothing huge. I really love doing it though so fingers crossed some more work comes my way in the near future.

Favourite spot in London?
I’m going to have to say Camden, that’s where I grew up. You won’t find a more vibrant and multi-cultural spot in the capital. On a hot summers day the place is literally buzzing – no better place to be.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I’m hoping that The Pipe Dreamers goes from strength to strength and we continue to build our brand into a house hold name, firstly in London and then moving to other territories ideally. Baby steps right now but the ambition is there to grow it into something significant.

Favourite piece from the Serge DeNimes SS16 collection?
I really love the No Noise pieces for sure. The matching top and shorts in the natural colour is a winner for me.

How did you get into modelling?
I was 19 and I was scouted on the tube!! I went and had a meeting and had Polaroids taken and the agency set up a few test shoots with some photographers. I look back at those images and it scares me to see how young I really was. You learn so much along the way!

What advice would you give an aspiring model?
Prepare yourself for rejection with no explanation – that’s the hardest part that took me awhile to get used too. You must be thick skinned, it is easy to let it affect you negatively because we put ourself in vulnerable positions. Be confident with who you are and what you look like, and trust what you know you are potentionaly right or wrong for. I recommend going to walk-ins at agencies, they receive hundreds of applications online everyday. Always be brave. Even if you’re not, pretend to be.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Every day is a different day and It’s a very satisfying process. This job never gets boring, I sometimes get to travel too. I meet somebody new everyday and creative people are usually very interesting and good fun.

Have you got any exciting projects coming up?
You never know what’s coming your way, so who knows… !! I’m a dancer as well so when I’m not modelling, I’m usually dancing around like a mad man. I’ve recently started an acting course so I’m intrigued to see how that goes.. I like to always be challenging myself.

Who’s your favorite designer at the moment?
I’m not they fussy type. I go for whatever catches my eye, I got some nice bits from Y.M.C recently. I love Reiss and H&M on the high-street. I’m also in a vintage store most of them time looking for anything plain and oversized.

Favourite spot in London?
I am so lucky live in Greenwich (Team South London!!) Greenwich is beautiful with a huge park and an incredible food market and little coffee places – Check it out! It’s great to have that outer village feel but have central London so close.

If you weren’t modelling what would you be doing instead?
What i’ve always been very thankful for is that since I can remember I wanted to move to London and become a dancer and I did it and had some incredible experiences. So I can’t imagine doing anything else. Although, I put on a good party.. so maybe I’d be in charge at doing that in some way?!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I’m drawn to the U.S, I’d like to see more of it. I’m going to focus more of my time on acting and by doing so If I get to see more places in 5 years time I’d be very happy with that. Hollywood here I am come.. ;) !!
Ultimately, where ever I am or what ever I am doing I hope to be happy.

Favourite piece from the Serge DeNimes SS16 collection?
I’m a big fan of the collection. I really enjoy the two-piece hoodie shorts combo – stylish and comfortable – WANT! Thumbs up from me.
